Our First Pre-Season Event
We attended the preseason tournament at St. Clair College today. It was an eye-opening experience. We now understand what it means to be a rookie team, there was so much to learn. We were fascinated by all the other teams. We delved into the situation and started networking. Our public relations team started mingling with the other teams, getting our name out there, asking questions and learning from the other teams. Our build team struggled with keeping the chain drive together (we were once again grateful to Team 772 for helping us out). The drive team had a great time maneuvering the robot around the course. There were three rookie teams at the tournament, and we met all of them. To our surprise we were awarded the Best Rookie Award. We are so grateful for this award, but we know that we still have a lot to learn. And we are excited about the process.
