Swatposium
We decided to attend Swatposium in Oakville, Ontario. We rented a large vehicle and 7 team members and our lead mentor left at 6 am. After a 4 hour drive, we arrived at the most beautiful school we had ever seen. We saw an example of a well established team, giving back to the FIRST community. As a rookie team, we were able to assemble a chassis with the help of several mentors and students from other established teams. We were the first and only team to get it to move because of the programmers that were helping us. We know we succeeded because of all the help we received from others. But we couldn’t help but feel pretty darn proud of ourselves! We talked all the way home about all we had done and seen. The ladies of SWAT - so inspiring! We had a great time and learned a lot.
When we arrived home, we sent a Thank You note.
