Build Season - Week 1

Day 1 - Monday

Today we went to Vista high school, we had a strategy meeting with several other teams. We talked about the best way to get points, we discussed the rules and how things are different this year. Much thanks to the Viral Vortex team for hosting this event!

Day 2 and 3 – Tuesday and Wednesday

Wired our chassis and had a discussion on possible designs.
Discussed the type of rope we might be able to use.
We decided to concentrate on the rope climb, the gear basket and if possible some sort of ball release.
We also established a schedule for build season; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and all day (and possibly night) Saturday. OMG!!

Saturday, January 14th 2017

Made a rough copy of the design of the robot.
Started building the tournament challenges, as well as a prototype of our robots mechanisms.
Built a prototype of the robot’s body out of cardboard, so we would have a good visual of the size.
Brainstormed for strategies to create a successful robot!
Several mentors arrived to support the team today.
