Waterloo Competition
Thursday, March 23rd 2017
We arrived at the University of Waterloo at 3:00pm and immediately started scouting. Had one practice game. Robot didn’t move. There was trouble with the programming and our programmers Jonas and Vlad worked all night to fix it.

Arrived at the competition at 9AM. Missed all of our practice matches (being a rookie team we didn’t realize that we had to be there that early).
The first day of competition was anything but picturesque. In our first matchup, our bot couldn’t even move (not again...). The rest of the day was mainly devoted to the improvement and troubleshooting of our robot. This task was not easy but with a lot of patience and teamwork, we were eventually able to rectify the situation. The problem was that we had no autonomous mode all day.

Arrived early at 7:30AM ready and eager to play our final set of games. Not to mention, our drive team welcomed a new member to their ranks… Sydney!!!
Unfortunately, our ambition and desire alone was not enough to make it into the ranked games.
Our tournament came to a conclusion after a long, hard fought weekend where we learned a lot, not only about our robot but also about ourselves.
The weekend concluded with on a good note though, as we won the Rookie All-Stars! What a great conclusion to a fantastic tournament.
